I can play without the script mods, but I'd rather have them. Select the Resource.cfg and hit Ctrl+C (or right-click and choose Copy). Is the file name Resource.cfg or or something else Dont delete that Resource.cfg - only delete the one you added to Program Files, in the Mods folder. I can't figure out what else to do, or why the cfg causes the game to crash when it's in the technically right place, but loads fine when it's in a different place. Then I moved the cfg file *into* the Mods\Packages folder and the game loaded. The game wouldn't load at all, just try to load and exit itself back to the EA launcher. Then I loaded in my other package files, per the instructions in the tutorial, and even the nosparkles and nointro stopped working. You can do this by cut and paste the file in here. If this doesn’t work, right click on the compressed file > Open With > 7-Zip File Manager > Extract. When I first tested the nosparkles and nointro scripts, they worked fine. I have only base game and Late Night, purchased and downloaded from the EA Store/launcher (same as Sims 4, not the old one).
